Description of SDTC Tech Fitting Reducer Adapter

REDUCER FITTING: 1/4" NPT Male Pipe x 1/2" NPT Female Pipe. The Brass Pipe Fitting Adapters are suitable for connecting pipes or fittings of different sizes, and can be used in wet environments. THREADS: Not easy to slip, the NPT threads create a tighter seal than straight threads, and smoother threads for easier and quicker installation. MATERIAL: Made of premium solid brass, high strength and hardness, wear and corrosion resistance, more durable than iron / iron galvanized pipe fittings. USE: Work temperatures range from -53°C to 121°C (-65°F to 250°F), can be used with garden sprinkler, grease, fuels, refrigeration, instrumentation and hydraulic systems in low and medium pressure pipe line connections. STANDARD & NOTE: High quality assurance, can not used for potable water due to the fittings contain lead. For better sealing, we suggest that all fittings must be used with sealing tape.

The NPT standard can be misleading

I was wrong. NPT stands for National Pipe Thread, which is the American standard. Item descriptions can be misleading as, for example, 1/4" NPT is not 1/4" but rather 1/2". And 1/2" NPT is actually closer to 3/4". There is a standard , which can be seen in a diagram available in particular on the Internet This product was in the form in which it was received, at least one specimen, in perfect condition, accurately described.

Pros
  • Pipe, fittings and accessories
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
