📏 Improved Ring Mandrel/Ring Sizer: Grooveless and Customizable - JT-SP2 Review

I wasn't sure when I first got it. I have one that is graduated in size. It's aluminum so not something you'd want to smash with a hammer, although I did and it holds up pretty well. I think it's great for getting the right size and it seems much more accurate than my conical sizer. It's also great for making wire rings etc. Glad to have it in my tool box. We use about a month. The numbers are starting to fade, but I don't think it matters if the tool is helping me get my job done.

Just received this in the post today and was very pleased to see I received one branded as it was not the experience listed here by some buyers. The mandrel is heavy, clearly steel rather than aluminum, smooth and clearly marked. Haven't had any metal on it yet so can't tell if it has marks on it but assuming I actually received the genuine product I think I'm clean. If I find anything else, I'll update my report. Ideal for making coin rings. heavy duty steel. It has enough weight to smash fairly well and it doesn't dent. They are packed in a layer of oil to prevent rusting. It wipes off fairly easily. Keep in mind that this is unfinished steel and will only rust on its own from normal humidity, so take the proper precautions (I apply a coat of Johnson wax paste from time to time).
