Decent Platter: Camping

This is a review of the Delta Platter. Bottom line, it's a bit big, but at a decent price. I bought this plate as a bowl for my dog on our hikes. I originally wanted a collapsible bowl but the prices were more than I could pay so this was the next best option. At just over 4 ounces, it's not a heavy record, but it's definitely a big one. If I had to redo I would choose something smaller and lighter, but that's just preference. In any case, the plate is made of hard plastic and feels very solid.

Pros
  • Food Grade Nylon 66, BPA Free
Cons
  • Nothing

Great little platter, incredibly stable

Great little platter. I use it for motorcycle camping and it has proven to be very strong and durable. I expect this to last a long time. It's strong enough to withstand my sharpest knives as I use it as both a cutting board and dinner plate. The sides are high enough that I can pour in two cans of stew or soup for dinner. Good product. ** UPDATE ** After 2 years of use, this thing still works! This plate has some permanent "stains" (from residual soot on the bottom of the MSR Alpine pan I cook

Pros
  • Measurement steps on the side
Cons
  • Not sure

Great lightweight camping plates that double as bowls in some cases

They're lightweight and the raised rim makes them perfect for daring things you wouldn't normally be able to carry with a plate. I like that things don't fall off them so easily. We also like the fact that we don't have to bring bowls (but we don't take soup with us on a camping trip; something very runny like soup won't work well on this plate, but thicker stuff like oatmeal will). Cons: - Poor nesting, which is a bit disappointing. - They are difficult to clean. For some reason they tend to…

Pros
  • Thumb grip with hanging carabiner
Cons
  • I don't remember
