Works for my school.

Works great, easy to install. There was a problem trying to screw in a brass fitting, this was replaced with PVC with no problems. Use it at my school. Stops the pump every time a faucet is opened and acts as a shock absorber for the pump.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Not sure

The threading issue has been fixed.

I had an adapter in my kit that solved the threading problem. I'm not a plumber, but I have a caliper and measured the threads. The built-in plug has a 3/4" British thread. The adapter has a tapered 3/4" NPT thread. Revain also offers these adapters.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Small things

Bad themes, failed in seven months.

Threads are not 3/4 NPT as other reviewers have stated. After threading with a cube, the battery was installed and worked as designed for about seven months, after which its charge immediately disappeared. The Schrader valve is defective, preventing the unit from being pressurized again.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Compatibility

NO PLASTIC best in freshwater systems

Although product weight should have been a guide, to me the term 'food grade' implied the blue portion of the tank was plastic. The selling company's return policy excludes economic returns. The 20% restocking fee and no free return shipping almost negate refunds, so be careful. I also had to "rep" the threads with a 3/4 "NPT" die to get a good seal with my RV-PEX adapter.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • unreliable

excellent tank, lousy thread

The tank is excellent but I had to use a triangular file to flake (clean) the MNTP thread on the tank (from the first thread to the last) before screwing the NTP adapter on the Tank. After cleaning the threads with a triangular file, I also removed the sharp edges from the top of the threads with a flat file before manually threading the adapter up to the rubber grommet. If I didn't have to do all that, this would be a 5 star article.

Pros
  • few competitors

Thread tolerance is out of specification making installation impossible.

The battery tank I received came with documentation that the inlet/outlet connection was 3/4 MNPT. Firstly, this is not a conical pipe thread, but a straight one. Second, and the real hurdle, is that the thread pitch diameter is much larger than the tolerance. Its size should be 0.982 inch / 0.987 inch. It actually reads 1000 inches, making the thread completely unusable. Connection fitting lowers after 1/4 turn. I will definitely return it.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Nothing here
