Tougher Than Many: Electrical Boxes, Wiring and Fittings

This box is stronger than many. I installed it directly into the wood paneling, so I had to drill two holes in the back instead of using the mounting tabs that came with the box.

Pros
  • Great for Me
Cons
  • Some Little Things

Great for my lamp project

Although the manufacturer probably didn't use it for its intended purpose, I used the socket for my USB lamp. It's deep enough for an outlet and even has a grounding point. It also holds color well. Will probably buy more for further projects.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Expensive

3/4 inch means 3/4 inch.

This is a well made and nice looking electrical box, but I didn't realize it was only 3/4 inch deep, which limits its use to light switches and 120VAC outlets, so because I it's a premium customer i was able to return this for a full refund.

Pros
  • Inspires Confidence
Cons
  • Out of Style

Conflicting description

I'm only giving this 3 stars because I didn't really know if I was getting a 3 hub or 5 hub box based on the description saying it's 3 holes and 5 sockets. Because of this conflict, I wasn't even sure if I was going to get a box with 3/4 inch sockets. I haven't used the box yet, but it actually has 3 3/4" jacks. and that's how I wanted it.

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Obsolete model
