I would not recommend this product. Have you ever compared a picture of a McDonald's hamburger and fries to what you take out of a bag? The photos of this product are also misleading. The foam doesn't look like the picture at all so there's no strain on your neck from the almost flat 1.5 inch foam padding.

The shape of this pillow is perfect. Forget a little random pillow to help with neck pain, this is the real deal. I installed this in my long haul car and holy smokes what a difference! The elastic strap securing it to the headrest feels snug, but there's an additional vinyl strap that can be wrapped horizontally, which feels cheap but works great. I would recommend it to anyone who is forced to spend time in their car and suffers from neck pain.

Too bad I didn't read the reviews carefully I think - like others the cushions I received didn't look like the photos and were very flat. I'm not sure what the strap that goes over the headrest is supposed to do - there's no way to attach it, so it seems useless to me. I won't have time to buy anything else before the trip so I'll try them out and see if I can add extra foam as other posts have suggested. If you read reviews I recommend trying another product, this one is not worth it.

The backrest is high enough to alleviate some of the discomfort of uncomfortable and hard headrests. Who designed these modern car seats?! Who are they for?
