Poor quality control

Quality control is an issue several of the threaded rods had varying length of threads making them difficult to use. I was able to get enough to finish my project had to scrap others.

Pros
  • They work
Cons
  • Not suitable for thicker cables: HIGOOD'S Zinc-Plated Wire Rope Clamps are only designed to work with cables that are 1/4 inch or thinner. If you have thicker cables, these clamps won't be able to provide the necessary grip

Rust, rust, rust in my review

Not that I plan on taking this wire used to hang lights on my pergola down anytime. But if I ever did I would certainly have to cut it down because these are going to be rusted closed.I would pass and but a better quality one next time.I hope this review and photos are helpful.

Pros
  • Just as expected!
Cons
  • Unlike some other cable clamps, HIGOOD'S Zinc-Plated Wire Rope Clamps require a fair bit of effort to install. If you're inexperienced with DIY projects, you may find it challenging to get these clamps in place

Great product for low price!

I needed a way to suspend a leaf net over our above-ground pool, so I rigged up a pole on each side (one on the opposite side of the yard) and purchased this item for it’s rated strength and price. It works perfectly for this application and I have plenty more for other projects.

Pros
  • For clamping steel cable
Cons
  • Limited pack size: HIGOOD'S Zinc-Plated Wire Rope Clamps are sold in packs of 10, which may not be enough if you have a lot of cables to secure. If you need more than 10 clamps, you'll have to buy multiple packs, which can be inconvenient and more expensive

A lot more sturdy than I initially thought!

Sturdiness is much better than I thought. I used three lined up for the kids swing and that was way more than enough. Holds cable line in-place, with no slippage.

Pros
  • it was a easy item to order and the price was good, even if i only needed a few of them.
Cons
  • One of them broke when tighten.

Ok product on my review.

It stretches and my purpose was to use as draw string for pergola canopy which when pulling it stretches and it makes difficult to pull. Over all may be good. But not for drawing sails.

Pros
  • I used these to string up a wire gate. They were a good value.
Cons
  • Rusting issues: Despite being zinc-plated, some users have reported rusting on the clamps over time. This not only looks unsightly but can also compromise the strength and durability of the clamps

Some broke, the rest rusted quickly.

These are poor quality. Several broke while tightening and the ones that didn't were rusting within a few weeks. Similar clamps purchased elsewhere didn't break and are rust free after 7 months.

Pros
  • Exactly what I needed. Used to anchor cable supporting a fence.
Cons
  • Can't be adjusted
