you get what you pay for. I used one of these in a CCTV system that required a microphone option. This worked, but significantly degraded the quality of the video. A small but noticeable ghosting effect was created. Tried another with the same result. Reinstalled the OEM standard video cable and used only the new mic-only cable.

I read the reviews and took the plunge and if I could find a white RCA cable anywhere else I would return it. Don't use it for videos it's terrible quality and despite the mechanism it seems to slip when plugged in (I tried it to experiment and was glad I had a spare Swann cable). After losing a poor quality picture twice, I just left for RCA and ended the day. Therefore, with the exception of the color, I cannot recommend it and strongly advise against buying it.
