Useless Dock for Computers

This dock is a complete waste of money for anyone looking to improve their computer's hard drive storage. It constantly disconnects and is not reliable, causing data loss and frustration. The only positive is its sleek design, but that doesn't make up for its poor functionality. Save your money and invest in a more reliable hard drive accessory for your computers.

Great for computers and accessories

I've been using this unit for over a year to swap my primary boot drive between Windows and Linux SSDs. It worked great and I had no problems with the data. However, there is one thing you need to pay attention to. Since 2.5" drives come in different thicknesses, the slot needs to be wide enough to accommodate thicker drives. plug when you plug it in. This probably won't be a problem if your system mounted the drive horizontally as gravity would have balanced it, but on my system the drive isโ€ฆ

I liked the idea of โ€‹โ€‹these

I liked the idea of these blocks. I bought two. This is a unique product but unfortunately quite cheap. The product is basically a passive device. The SATA data cable just goes through, as does the power. The power connector is made of fairly fragile material. Three stars for build quality. I bought them to be able to switch SSDs with different operating systems and software configurations. Sometimes when switching from one drive to another, the OS on the SSD gets corrupted due to unknownโ€ฆ
