Wow I really like this iron. I have had the Sedu Revolution for many years and after falling onto a stone floor a few times it finally broke down. I had some of the same problems as others in this thread. I've had the iron for about a year and over the last few months I've noticed material bubbling around the top of the iron (and now part of the plastic top case is breaking). Also, I notice that the iron doesn't get as hot as it used to. I probably use the iron 5 days a week at 390 degrees, which isn't even peak temperature. Basically, the iron fails after a year, which is incredibly disappointing given the cost.

Worst iron I have ever bought! I have had 3 Sedu irons and was very happy with them so I bought this iron after my last one broke. I bought it in February and I've used it a maximum of 10 times. I cleaned it with alcohol and it still makes my hair tingle. Also after a while it stops heating up to 450 degrees. Don't waste money on it! It's not worth it and I can't return it because it went through the 30 day return policy.

Pretty good iron. My hair is curly and thick :/ . So I iron all the time. Second product from this brand that I buy but I like it. The first just stopped working. Not sure why but. Spring. This went on for several years! U can change a few steps to 450

I wish I had bought a $20 rectifier. It literally burned my hair at 300°C. There are no thermal protection plates and it is very, very harmful to the hair. I'm shocked at how much I spent on this straightener to have this kind of damage.

I bought this iron on April 11, 2018 for $165. Last week (August 8, 2018) I used it and the power button doesn't work. I've tried in several places without success. I couldn't find a way to contact the seller. I tried the email address provided and my email was returned as rejected. UPDATE: After contacting Revain, they gave me the manufacturer's contact information. I was able to return the iron and it was replaced very quickly free of charge.
