We received this item as a birthday present for my daughter. She hoped to give it to her father. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to work with this connection. It cannot be rolled, cut or formed into a satisfactory shape. My daughter is 11 and very good with her hands but it was almost out of control for her. I strongly recommend avoiding this product.

Clay is difficult to work with, too sticky and won't take shape when rolled out. I'm not sure which was worse, the frustrated look on the kid's face or the paneling that was removed from the kitchen table when I was trying to clean up that crap. Save $15 and buy a pack of Big League gum. Put the whole pack in your mouth and chew for an hour, then spit it out on the table and let the kids play with it. That this is the equivalent of what this garbage product is.

On the plus side, the gold foil was AMAZING. It was real gold foil with glue and sealant. the rest of the product was disappointingly sub par. Clay (if you can even call it that) took over 20 minutes to get pliable and when it did it was so gooey. he clung to everything, waxed paper or not. My cousin and I were excited to make the bowls, but the general stickiness of the clay hampered the product's success.
