SentrySafe HD4100 Fireproof and Waterproof Safe, Key Lock, 0.65 Cubic Feet, Black Review

Safe is good but the keys are terrible. I was just trying to open my safe and the key just melted, I didn't use much force. Now I have to figure out how to get the other piece out of the hole. Update: Key removed from hole, when I got my second key I noticed it was bent. These keys are terrible and unreliable.

Like other reviewers I opened the box and lifted the handle to open the safe and the handle came off along with a ton of cement and cement dust which I inhaled and spent all morning with it had spent cleaning the office floor. I called Sentry and the woman I spoke to was unapologetic and advised me to contact Revain for a refund.

This may be an isolated case, but I received this safe in the original box with no lining. Which could damage the vault. The entire plastic assembly was crushed or cracked. Dust, part of fire protection I believe, has covered all surfaces of the safe. It may be a good product but I couldn't see its best features. I returned the safe. I'll try again later.

I was happy with my purchase. After reading the reviews I was a little worried it would be too small or damaged but it arrived in great condition. I bought this to keep my documents safe and it's perfect for my file folders with some space at the top so I can add tabs to my folders. . Pretty heavy for a small safe. It was clean inside and easy to seal. Inside, it's a little deeper than a suspension file. It looks like I can fit about 20 dangling files in if they are the size of a notepad…

If you want to dissuade someone from stealing this, it's very difficult. You can't take it and run away. But fire safety? I really doubt. The latch/button is plastic, looks like it's about to fall apart and is the ONLY thing holding the lid securely. There is a rubber seal inside. If the lid latch is broken I can see the seal catching fire and then the contents being destroyed. The handle is cheap plastic, rattles and seems to dangle, and I don't see it holding anything close to 1500 degrees…

Remove the word "safe" from the description and forget about the "lock" and you'll be fine. broken at it. He was about 15+ years old. The new one just screams "plastic”.
