Review on SentrySafe HD4100 Fireproof and Waterproof Safe, Key Lock, 0.65 Cubic Feet, Black by Mike Malvo

If you want to dissuade someone from stealing this, it's very difficult. You can't take it and run away. But fire safety? I really doubt. The latch/button is plastic, looks like it's about to fall apart and is the ONLY thing holding the lid securely. There is a rubber seal inside. If the lid latch is broken I can see the seal catching fire and then the contents being destroyed. The handle is cheap plastic, rattles and seems to dangle, and I don't see it holding anything close to 1500 degrees. Also, you can break the handle and get inside. No security. When we received it and opened it, it looked like someone already had it and sent it back. It had big scratches but the box was fine. And the button/button area was covered with oil. I had to wash my hands after handling it.
