Very happy with the sunglasses and eyewear accessories

Great sunglasses. They cover my entire field of vision and I can wear them in a much wider range of lighting conditions than a pair with standard lenses. I don't even notice when they're getting darker or lighter, I just keep seeing the same level of light. The optical clarity is fantastic. The 555nm lens certainly takes some getting used to as I've always used gray lenses, but the combination of polarization, high resolution and light reduction is just great. I couldn't be happier.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

Very cheap to build. Lens failed after a few months

Lenses are great but very cheaply made and the lens failed after 6 months. The small screw holding the lens fell off and so did the lens. Outside. For the price these glasses are sold at I expect a higher quality. Others have complained about this issue and I read those reviews but chose to ignore them. I have had several pairs of Maui Jims in the past and have held out for many years with no problems and will be returning to Maui Jims.

  • Price
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Overall great sunglasses except for the fragile glass lenses

I liked everything about these: stylish, comfortable, great optical quality, excellent performance in both sun and shade, but the glass lenses couldn't withstand an accidental fall from a great height of 2 inch on a hard surface. Yes, my fault, but I'm wondering how they would react to a car crash when the airbag deploys (I hate having broken glass in my face). Of course, this can be too dramatic, but. Now if this frame were equipped with Serengeti Polar PhD lenses.

Pros
  • Easy to install

  • Protection

I really like the design and the color tone, but .

This is my second pair that I have bought in a year. I really like the design and the color tone, but the problem is the frame design. The small screw holding the goggles loosens itself even if there is no movement in the area. I lost my first pair after a screw came loose and the glass fell off and shattered, then I bought a second pair and the new pair have the exact same problem. I was lucky, the first time the screw came loose, the glass fell onto the soft carpet. I carry a $2 glass repair…

Great glasses for great views

Serengeti sunglasses are, well, from the Serengeti. If you've tried them, you must know how good they are. I started buying them when they were still made by Corning. Great lenses, with functionality in the glass, no coating on the surface. Glass models are a bit heavier, but that's the price of a glass lens. the frames are made of titanium, the temples and the double-sided spring - so bow your head. The frames are light for their construction but very fitting, easy to grip. Beautiful, durable,

Pros
  • Good product for the price

  • There are downsides

Serengeti Quality - Sunglasses

I've read that Serengeti frames and lenses are going downhill but as a huge fan of the brand for 30 years I felt the need to at least try them. I ordered them with the intention of returning them (thanks to Revain's excellent returns policy) if they were poor quality, didn't fit, or the lenses were crap. As it turns out I'm looking for a reason to buy another pair. . They are well built yet lightweight and the lenses are WAY better than "high quality" plastic lenses like Oakley's. They're on…

The lens popped out and cracked m!

I bought it in January 2018 and the screws on the brackets had to be tightened within a week. I took them to my local optometrist's office and they picked them up when I wanted to. I ended up buying a set of precision screwdrivers and doing it myself. About 3 weeks ago the right lens just popped out and fell on the pavement in the parking lot, the lens cracked slightly where it landed, I was angry to say the least. As someone else who wrote the review said, where the screw holding the lens in…

After 3 years of use here is my review.

After 3 years of almost daily use they are still in excellent condition. The photochromic glass lenses have no scratches and get darker and lighter as expected. I've had more traditional sunglasses with polycarbonate lenses in the past and no matter what brand or how careful I was with them, after a few days they scratched and after a few weeks my vision became blurry. too many scratches The fit has not changed. Maybe it's the quality of the frame and the spring-loaded hinges. The arms are…
