I love the duvet except for a few issues. The temperature setting is simple but very delicate, if you barely touch it (it falls off the sofa armrest) it changes the setting. I have to turn it off and on again about every twenty minutes to make it more than lukewarm even at setting 5, and it's not as much as advertised. I have another litter that is the same size but about 3 inches longer.

I have had many electric blankets over the years. I've slept with one of them every night for about ten years now. I burn them out pretty quickly and these are one of the best, especially for sleeping! Something small but big in the long run is their connector, which snaps in place so unlike pretty much every other on the market, it won't be unplugged in the middle of the night. I'm in Southern California and it's not THAT cold (maybe under 60 degrees indoors). But I wake up shaking from this blanket. I had to put another blanket over it and even then I still wake up cold. Parts of it don't seem to heat up at all. The controllers are more than necessary - 15 clicks each to take them to level 10 and a 12-hour timer - but they're automatically dimmed so it's not blinding. What a disappointment. I chose a well-known brand, thinking that I would be golden. The actual part with the heating wires has less surface area than the heating blanket I am replacing. Plenty of unheated space on the sides, top and bottom. Even at level 10, the heat is unevenly distributed and takes a long time to heat up, with some spots very hot and most spots cold.
