I LOVE Luminara candles for their realistic beauty, easy and safe to use. BUT I would like to warn buyers - this is not a vow sized candle. It is sold everywhere as a 3 inch tall votive, but is actually taller than a votive. The height is 3.25 inches, so it's a bit tall for many votive candle holders. If you're using an open type holder or a lantern style holder, you're fine. I love that this candle uses AA batteries instead of the button style which is harder to find and more expensive to use.

I love shimmer and have several candle holders that are perfect for this size. The candle looks wonderful when lit and the flickering is so real, but I will say that the appearance of a candle in daylight is not that attractive. In the end it doesn't look like a real candle. I love Luminara candles and have a lot of different size candles at home. This is a very good price for the Luminara brand. This is my third vow. I mostly use the timer setting, but on some I use the remote if I want to turn them on or off. Batteries in lanterns last 4-6 weeks, at least when the timer is set.
