Works perfectly! best satellite tv gear

I bought this to upgrade my PlayStation 2 to record video with the Elgato HD60 S capture device. The Elgato device does not handle the 480i signal well.

Pros
  • dope 🔥
Cons
  • negative impression

It converts 60i to 60p and also outputs audio via HDMI

It works as advertised, it converts my 60i signal to 60p. Just make sure you are receiving the signal as HDMI and not DVI, as there is no sound output over HDMI in this mode. It works with any TV and professional monitor, as well as a switcher such as Blackmagic Design's ATEM Television Studio.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Protection

No quality rating for the 4K monitor

If you don't want the connections to vary greatly depending on the quality, i.e. on the LG 4K monitor, you don't appreciate more, but contrast with connections of colors and bright colors. innecesarios Que a mi parecer daña la calidad y te ves mandatory calibration el monitor para que quede algo mejor. En realidad si retrocediera el tiempo no lo compraria.

Pros
  • Chic design

Good high end product

I found the scaler to work as described, very easy to install and set up. I use it with Viewsonic PX-747-4K projector and Xfinity cable box. The projector accepted any output changes while I made adjustments. I mainly use the projector for sports. The upscaling does a good job on close-ups, but in the wide pans the upscaling is a bit grainy for 4K.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Secret

Plug and Play for PC? I do not think so.

I understand it's just a generic device that gets renamed everywhere, but how do people use it for their computers? It works great with my console outputs, but why is it just crap and not knowing what to do when I send a 4k signal to it from my computer? HDCP? I suspect there is a problem here. But when I plug it in and all I get is a "No Signal" icon every few seconds, I just get pissed. No, this is not the end of the entire product. This is mainly for those who have a trusted signal source…

$70 letter weight, useless tech support

The item I received was a Sewell Echo. I ordered v2 but nothing indicates what I received let alone anything on the product, packaging or instructions indicating a second generation item. Also, there is no tamper evident packaging, I have no idea if I received a dead block or a used block. I connected as directed and played around with the buttons, but nothing indicates what mode you're in or if the buttons do anything at all. The screen displayed on the 1080p screen shows 'invalid format'. I…

Dreamcast + Pound HD Cable + Upscaler + Capture Card = Happiness

TLDR: Purchased to use Dreamcast + Pound HD cable. It is possible to stream Dreamcast games via OBS with Elgato Capture HD. For those who need more details, read on. As an old game console enthusiast, I love streaming everything I play on Twitch. The Sega Dreamcast is a finicky device when it comes to doing this. I bought a pound HD cable for the Dreamcast hoping to get an HDMI output on my TV. When connected directly to a TV, it outputs video. After adding the Elgato Capture HD card to the…

Works for downscaling on old HDCP 1.4 and HDMI 1.4 compatible HDTV

My TV doesn't have overscan settings and I'm fed up with clipped subtitles and cropped screen in general from videos. It belonged to my uncle and it was one of those 1366x768 TVs. It's a ten year old Sony that he gave to my family in '11. It sucks that this Sony could have been a better value given it doesn't have any scan options and the Bravia aren't basic TVs. I'm just glad it took so long. Anyway, I'm using a scaler for my Chromecast (ultra), and what a relief. All I needed was an HDMI…
