This frame is perfect as it is like 2 in one. The heavy fabric insert makes it easier to embroider towels in the hoop, while the light fabric insert is suitable for other fabrics. The size is perfect for monograms as well as lots of personalization.

It can be used on Husqvarna Viking Designer Jade 35. My machine recognized the tire. It was a bit expensive for me but I needed a smaller ring than what I had. The spring trigger will fall apart if the hoop is too tight. Apart from the price and the spring version, everything works perfectly.

WILL NOT WORK with Original Viking Designer 1 (no USB). Although my machine is 18 years old, it uses all original Viking products available, even for 1 USB designer. I bought this tire hoping it would work as it was listed as compatible, my machine doesn't recognize it at all. Unfortunately I'm looking for another one and sending it back.

I only had two embroidery frames for my Husqvarna Viking Designer SE – one approx. 4 x 4 inches and one approx. 6 x 9 inches. I felt like wasting my stabilizer when I had to clamp a project that was too big for a small frame. I am happy to have this medium size. It's very durable and having two inner hoops - one for light fabrics and one for heavy fabrics - is an added bonus. The price was very cheap compared to the branded Viking!

This is a strong, well made bar that fits my Husqvarna Viking Epic perfectly. My machine recognized the embroidery frame without any problems and held everything securely while embroidering. This hoop even comes with two inserts: one for heavy objects; one for light items. For my embroidery project I used the insert marked "light". I would use an interlining marked "heavy" for quilting. August 16th - Update - DO NOT BUY if you have Builder 1 scratched the case of my machine and I had to recalibrate my embroidery arm. I thought I found a workaround, but won't be using it anymore. I've used the tire 3 times so what looked like a budget tire was a waste of money. Designer 1 is spaced 7 1/2 inches from the body to allow others to determine if this hoop will work with your machine. I have a Designer 1 sewing machine.
