You get what you pay for.

I bought this rubber to use in the carving class I teach. Of course, it's a lot cheaper than a well-known brand, which is what attracted me. Now that I've worked with it, I have two problems: 1) It's not as easy to carve as the others, making it particularly difficult to get smooth curves. 2) The surface of the rubber doesn't hold ink like the brand does. It's not scary, but it's not. Now I buy the brand โ˜น๏ธ because I want my students to have the best teaching experience.

They do their job

My only linocut experience before using these blocks for cutting was the Speedball Block Printing Starter Kit, which included a sheet of linoleum to practice with. So having no comparison to SGHUO linoblocks I can say I had no trouble cutting them and was very comfortable to work with. In one shot I used the entire block for my image. , and in the second image I was able to use regular scissors to cut a smaller piece out of the block by cutting a deep line around the image and then cuttingโ€ฆ

Excellent pad for the money

I bought this linoleum fearing reviews would say it was a poor quality product. I consider Speedball's SpeedyCarve to be the best linoleum, followed by Blick's EZ Cut. But I found it relatively easy to cut, flexible enough, cleans well (and doesn't have the powder coating of the other two), and dispenses ink well. I might not be using it for a very serious and detailed project, but for small blocks the size of a greeting card, this is a steal. I wouldn't hesitate to use it with studentsโ€ฆ

It works! -(see photo)

I was a bit hesitant when I first tried a medium sized piece (Boston Terrier) on this rubber because I wasn't sure it would turn out to be a HUGE waste of money Time. I'm actually very happy with my work. The rubber itself is a little thicker than a speedball, a little stiffer, a little less flexible, and a little less "oily" to carve. The Betta is a stamp I carved with a speedball. Using a speedball, I was able to get fine detail out with even my simplest/cheapest tools. Revain's product found
