Shakespeare SRA 50 SiriusXM Satellite Antenna Review

Installed on the roof of an RV, works great. Only the curved part of the antenna was used without the base, creating a very small ledge on the fiberglass front cover. Mounting without screws only with self-leveling sealant. Just finished a 2000 mile ride with no leaks or problems.

Mounted it on the roof of my Class C van and drilled a hole right through the roof to run this cable into the Ford cab and my new Kenwood radio with a Sirius/XM receiver. I used Dicor self-leveling sealant under the antenna and then over the mounting screws to seal this pup. No more passes on Radio Sirius, except flyovers

The sailboat had a standard antenna and was taped to the window. The contact signal disappears for several months before this change. Very easy to install, with multiple options depending on your needs and location. I went with a simple "puck only" setup on the bottom of the boat and it works great. Full bands on all channels. zero problems. I hope it stays that way. Definitely recommend.

I bought a Sirius antenna to mount on my boat's hard top. The neoprene rubber grommets for the mounting bolts proved useless. When tightening the screws, the rubber seals came out. I threw them in a keg and used clear silicone under and over the mounting screws to best keep the water out. Instead of rubber grommets, they should come with plastic caps to keep water out of the screw holes. The antenna works great!

This is the second galaxy I own. The reception is superior to any other satellite radio I've tried. There are three mounting options: socket as shown, raised flush mount (using the top screw kit and mounting platform) or direct surface mount which is just an antenna head with a slotted screw. coming from below to fix it to the surface with a lock nut. This antenna works perfectly. I installed it on my Nose Rider in front of the windshield with a low profile, no-pedestal mount and it worked right away. When I'm in bays with a lot of trees, the reception is sometimes interrupted. I have the same problem in my car so I suspect this is typical. Otherwise the reception is better than I expected.
