This gem is worth the money.

I did my homework before purchasing this stone and am happy to report that it was money well spent. I needed a rough stone to get my dull knives working again and this one met my high expectations. I plan to buy 1000 and 6000 so I have a complete set.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Disappear

Great/Nice stone

My first experience with Shapton glass and I love this 320. I will use a diamond plate for really hard work but for simple edge repairs or reshaping this stone feels very good, good speed relatively minimal scratches. I didn't mind the Shapton 320 Pro as it created so much mud it was like a mud bath. The same goes for me with the Chosera 400. It's a keeper.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Great stone! Fits sharpener

Both Shapton Pro 320 and Shapton Glass 320 are available. Pro 320 feels great, cuts great and wears moderately. Shapton Glass 320 feels better, cuts better and wears much slower than the Pro stone. The Pro 320 can do everything that Glass 320 can, but what you get with Glass is a higher quality gem. Whether it's worth the extra $20 to get a glass jewel over the Pro is up to you. Either way, you can't go wrong.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Obsolete
