🦈 SharkBite 24623LF Garden Valve, 3/4 inch x 3/4 inch Review

As in most households, the hose bib is in the wrong place for running cumbersome and awkward garden hoses everywhere. So I ran 3/4 inch polyethylene pipe from my house's hose along the foundation to my garage where it is most needed and available. Now I have water where I need it.

I bought this faucet because of the relatively low price and the angle of the hose nozzle: I like that the nozzle points outwards a little bit straight down . With a 3/4 inch PEX, it is easy to connect the PEX. Make sure it is fully inserted and there are no leaks. Works great in my garden. The photos show how I installed it on the pole.

So I connected to my water heater's cold water line to run a polyethylene (PEX) pipe to another corner of my garage to provide a retractable hose reel for my car wash and other related activities. I really like the pen with SHARK embossing. Valve seems very reliable and should work fine. I like the lack of soldering.

Haibiss has done it again. Had to replace an old outdoor faucet that had cracked due to age and weather conditions. Simply cut off the old block and install this in minutes. I can't say enough about how much I love shark bite products. I will never use solder fittings again. I've been using these shark bite guards for years with no leaks or problems. Thank you shark bite!

This faucet was installed in my heated garage. For some reason it stalled after 4 months. I switched the water sources to the faucet, thinking that the hot water running through it might be causing the handle to move, but that didn't help. As a last resort I tried giving it some extra torque with a wrench and the handle broke completely! Now I'm looking for other options.

I needed a new faucet to replace the faucet in my garden that was leaking. It looked like a great option for connecting to an existing pipe without any special tools. I just removed the old pipe and put it in the pipe. I hesitated a bit when I turned the water back on, but it worked like magic! I used two screws to attach it to the sidebar and the job was done! Easy to install, easy to see and works great.

This is a typical Shakebite product. Good quality, very easy to install, works well. My only complaint is the grip style that the company has chosen. Although it may seem "fancy" that four sharks swimming in a circle are the handle for this valve; However, the design does not provide a good grip when attempting to open the valve from the closed position. (Shark fins allow the valve to close well, which can lead to over-torque.)

Look, I've done a lot of plumbing, I'm a handyman, I work with this stuff all the time. I can't understand why this thing is shaped like this. If you don't put it below deck, there's no point. Impossible to hold the screw, you constantly tear your knuckles and unscrew it. Just no. I'm pretty sure it was a joke someone from Sharkbite wanted to see if anyone was coming over. YOU GOT ME SHARKBIT! HAfreakinHAHA. Thanks to this.thing I brushed up on my soldering skills.

I bought this faucet for my new porch. The plumbing angle and design was perfect and I really liked the decorative handle as the faucet was close to my steps where everyone could see it. But less than 3 months after installation the paint on the beautiful handle was peeling off in big chunks. Now the handle not only looks terrible, but the metal of the pot it's made of corrodes and wears out quickly. I would be happier with a regular looking pen if it lasted longer.
