Makes installation easy!

Used to install a water softener, making the process much easier. I usually hate doing my own plumbing, but this gave me leak free connections with very little effort. All I had to do was cut the existing soft water loop with a pipe cutter, deburr the edges and attach these connectors. My house already had a soft water system, sewage connection and electricity nearby so the whole process took less than an hour.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Expandable

Let them install your water softener!

I avoided them at first because of the cost. However, it made installing my water softener 1000 times easier when I decided to go down this route. The flexibility of the tubes also allows me to move the cylinder behind for access. Otherwise the rigid tube would essentially lock the thing in place. Totally worth the money for the convenience. It is also possible to loosen/remove the shark fittings for easier bottle changes or access.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not the best

Works amazing. for pipes, fittings and accessories

I am very surprised but glad that it does not leak. I have very high water pressure (woohoo) and wasn't sure how it would hold up as it's a unique PTC connection but it worked. I used their deburring and measuring tool to mark the copper and also used fine sandpaper to clean it up before making this connection. Connected for more than a month, still not flowing. I am very impressed and will look for products from this manufacturer in the future. Thanks very much!

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Does not fit everyone

Easy installation of the water softener

I used them to connect the water softener. The shark bite site slid easily into my umbilicals with a gentle nudge. The FIP threaded fittings are hand tightened into the softener and tightened by me with a wrench. Perfect connection with no leaks. Corrugated iron has enough flexibility that I was able to accommodate differences in position and orientation. The metal also holds its shape well, so I know it won't put any extra strain on the fittings.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Frequency

Sharkbite fitting leaking on this hose

I have used Sharkbite fittings successfully in the past but this product failed. I've used 1/2" and 3/4" Sharkbite fittings before with no problems, but this 1" fitting was leaking. I installed the fitting on a 1" CPVC water line. I carefully trimmed the end with a ratchet pipe cutter and deburred the end with the Sharkbite tool. However, I could not adjust the fitting to the full insertion depth. I made the mating connection on a workbench and couldn't for the life of me achieve full insertion

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some cons

Use Sharkbite, they said, it's as simple as that, they said.

Bought two and mounted side by side. One failed in the first half hour. After the first inspection, I left the house and returned to the mess hall. I found the coupling was leaking so I tightened the fitting a bit but it kept leaking. The leak wasn't coming from the "mating" side that everyone is worried about, it was coming from the NPT side, and not from the threads, but from under the splined shaft and inner sleeve (the part that rotates) . I closed the valve and removed the whole thing. I…
