They are great for installing a water softener and filter and unscrewing them with the twist mechanism if necessary. There is no need to use pipe sealant or teflon tape as they have rubber seals. I used them on a 3/4" plastic inlet and outlet of an FPT water softener and water filter unit. No leaks.

I needed these to connect my 3/4 inch PEX pipe to my new 1 inch plastic whole house water softener manifold. I tried some other fittings with teflon tape but was unable to get the fittings to stop the leaking. Couldn't find a swivel fitting of this size in local shops so was very happy to find it at Revain. The rubber bushing in this fitting works great! I ordered it, arrived in a few days, installed it and said goodbye to the leaking faucet. Great fit!

I had to buy a new water softener. I bought some fittings but they kept dripping. I started looking and came across these fittings. So I ordered 2 of these. I wish I could get them because they are AWESOME. If you have a water softener, DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY IT. I know I've looked at the reviews and they don't show installation details. Here I'm showing it to you so you know they include a rubber gasket. I put it on the water softener and it DOES NOT LEAK. Now they weren't in the big stores.
