Description of Sharpening stone Tuotown water 1000/3000, white/blue

The 1000/3000 grit whetstone consists of rather coarse abrasive fractions and a soft binder matrix. This combination makes it possible to use the block for preparatory work on sharpening knives (removing traces of rough operations, leveling the blade and cutting edge, preliminary sharpening).

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

I sharpened a knife for 200r - not bad, sharpened a BUCK knife for 8k not very badly (then I put a newspaper on a dry stone and brought the edges to a shine) - not a razor, of course, but this is not 8000-10000 either. Therefore, it copes with the task, it is already felt that there is little left to cut off the hair. Those who don’t succeed in something - train to keep the angle (p. S sharpen away from yourself - press the edge of the knife with your thumbs. To yourself - with your index…

Pros
  • Sharpens well, 15 minutes is enough for impregnation
Cons
  • The emblem of course freezes a little)

The price/quality ratio is great, I will buy again.

Some pros: Good stone for sharpening. Allows you to sharpen knives to an acceptable sharpness. For sharpening under a razor, another stone with a finer grain is desirable. Cons below: The inscription on the stone itself. It interferes with the first attempts to sharpen.
