Good for beginners and cheap price!

Good entry level stone at a good price. I believe the 6000 grit side. I would recommend this stone. Good value for money. The rubber base is great and holds the stone in place really well.

Pros
  • Whetstones
Cons
  • So far so good

Good price, great starting stone.

Ideal stone for beginners. With a little practice you can sharpen the blade. The 6000 grit is a bit soft in my opinion. I spend a lot of time cleaning the stone because of the deposits. Admittedly I'm fairly new to whetstones, but I didn't expect the stone to stone after two weeks of use. I would recommend a suitable stone to level with this stone. Overall good value for money. The rubber base is great and holds the stone in place really well.

Pros
  • Hand tool
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Great wet stone for the price

I've had quite a few different types of knife sharpeners over the years, many of them work fine or so I thought until I got this whetstone! This is my first time owning it and I need to do a little research to find out how to properly sharpen this stone kitchen knife. Most of my kitchen knives aren't completely dull, they're still pretty sharp, but using 6000 grit helps improve the blade, making your knife extremely sharp! I mainly use the 1000 grit side for the utility knife and my chisel set.

Cons
  • Something different
