Very comfortable and relieves back and hip discomfort when I use it in the car or on hard chairs or benches. I don't like the little black handles on the bottom. They need to be there to keep the pillow in place, but they wear down the car seat and make a mess that needs cleaning. Other than that, it's a great pillow made out of very durable materials, except for those little handles.

I'm surprised how much it has helped. The cushion is fairly dense and durable so it provides good support. I have not been diagnosed with any disease but my back is SICK from sitting at the computer for long hours. I also have to sit on some chairs for hours. (I'm a testifying reporter.) So I needed an easy-to-carry, professional-looking pillow. Great for the price! *Update: I liked it so much I went back and bought it for a friend.

I liked it so much that I bought a second one. There are several reasons for this: It's strong and dense, so it won't fall apart within a few seconds after you sit on it. Its strength helps it keep its shape even after prolonged use. The pillow itself is about 0.75 inches wider than most, so if you have large boobs you'll be lucky. However, it may not be suitable for some hikers. Sharper Image may have discontinued this pillow, you need to check it out.

I've been using one of these around my house for a few years to help me sit higher up at my desk and also to cushion my chair. Very good quality and wears well! I drive a General Motors forklift 8 hours a day. Forklift drivers know that forklifts don't wear socks. The only thing you get is a seat/weight adjustment that will make your seat hop. And if you drive an old forklift, I don't think you even have that. So I tried different seat cushions. there was not much consolation. I bought the Sharper Image Gel Pillow from Sam's Club because my back hurts when I sit on hard seats. This pillow WAS actually a gel pillow - as far as I could tell it was 100% gel. It was pretty heavy but pretty comfortable. I recently forgot my pillow and it was stolen so I ordered a new one. I didn't look too closely at the picture; It had the familiar black mesh so I just ordered it and was looking forward to a replacement. What I received is NOT the pillow I had before.
