So disappointing floor cleaner

At first it was just what I needed. Spray, wipe, go. It looked so beautiful for a few hours, but then tracks began to appear. After a few weeks I noticed the floor was dirty when I wiped the stain with a white paper towel. Terribly dirty. The more I used it, the worse the footprint problem got, with or without shoes. I gave up and switched to vinegar and water. Now everything is clean and no traces!

Great cleaner to protect hardwood floors

A must if you have Shaw hardwood floors but great for any hardwood floor. The only caveat, as the manufacturer claims, is that you can use too much product and leave a sticky residue. This is not a problem for us as we clean high traffic areas daily with a water solution in between deep wet cleanings. We bought a Rubbermaid floor cleaning system with several cleaning pads and 2 bottles of solution. We keep Shaw's solution in one bottle and water in another; This makes it very easy to keep the…

Does a great job!

My husband was installing vinyl floorboards in the house we moved into a few months ago. I cleaned the Swifter with plain water. I was visiting a friend whose housekeeper had just cleaned her new vinyl plank floor. Paul looked great so I asked what their housekeeper was using. She said Shaw Floors Hard Surfaces Flooring Cleaner. I ordered some right away. We have several cats in our home. I applied a fine spray to an area of about 3 x 3 feet as directed and used a dry Swifter to scrub the…

Don't Buy: Household Chemicals

While the idea and smell of this product is amazing, the quality just isn't. He doesn't clean floors at all. We installed Shaw floors throughout the first floor of our home. We love floors. One of the most important things we were told is not to clean them with a wet or regular mop. So I decided that using a real brand floor cleaner would be our safest bet and I bought this item. It leaves strange streaks, feels sticky and doesn't remove anything from the floor. If I just put a wet paper towel…

Great for floor cleaners

I installed Coretex vinyl floors in my home because I love the look of wood, but I wanted something that was easy to clean. The installers recommended the Bona cleaner, but after washing the floors, the floors always looked dull, like there was some kind of film on it. I was very disappointed and wondered if I had made a mistake in choosing the flooring. Last month I got frustrated and started looking for alternative cleaners. The show has good reviews so I ordered it. I'm so happy with him…

The holy grail of vinyl records!

Our home has great vinyl plank floors. I first used the Swiffer mix and found that it didn't pick up any sticky spots or our pup's paw prints. I then did some research and tried vinegar and water - it did a good job with normal dirt and wear and tear, but it still left sticky marks and stains. The only thing that seemed to work was a magic eraser - but come on, vinyl plank shouldn't be that hard to clean! Mopping the floor should not become an all-day job! At this point, mopping worried me, and

  • A dubious purchase for seniors

Is there an alternative floor cleaner?

I agree with some reviewers who said this product does not clean well. I installed Shaw LVT embossed stone planks in my kitchen a year and a half ago and have had a hard time keeping my floor clean with this floor cleaner ever since. I used all Shaw products - sponges, mop handle, cleaning solution etc because I was afraid other products might not do the job or even damage the floor 🙄. I used a dry Swifer to go over the floor right after cleaning and the dry mop blade was blackened with dirt…

  • Not cheap but decent

Which floors? (Same as their LVP) Use Shaw Cleaner

I took a gallon sized bottle and used it (with funnel) to fill an empty spray bottle I had in my closet with other cleaners. I've had Shaw LVP flooring in two houses (one that I've stayed in had the vinyl sheets replaced with Shaw Floorte and I loved being able to have the same flooring product in one in my current home that I live in misplaced another colour). since 2017) and I needed something to keep my floors clean and beautiful. After the plumber who installed the floors in my previous…
