What happened to my wet saw? old blade.

I'm getting super clean cuts now. It didn't matter when I cut brick and pavers. But the latest project, Happy Wife, Happy Life, required clean cuts in the floor tiles. No chipping at the edges. Cute!

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • Secret

Cuts Porcelain Tile Cleanly

I carefully cut my porcelain tile but there was a small chip at the end of the cut. Following the advice of others, I started with the first cut on the opposite side, then turned around and made a straight cut. This stopped the chips on the final cut.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Some Minor Matters

Not what I would call a clean cut.

I bought this blade because I used to buy the same one. While I wasn't impressed with the blade's durability, it did its job well. The new blade leaves chips on both sides of the porcelain stoneware cut. It's only really good for cuts that will be chalk covered.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Nothing here

Not for detailed cuts.

The first 2-3 tiles are best cut with a wet saw, but then there were more chips around the edges. After about 6 tiles it seemed very stupid. It wasn't really as skinny a cut as I would have liked, but I managed. Bought a diamond grinder to smooth the edges. My tile has a glossy glaze. Maybe it would be better for less detailed slicing.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Happy with the purchase.

I bought this because the mandrel fits my Harbor Load Saw. I used it on a 37 square foot glass tile backsplash, made cross cuts, cut the tile 1" x 4" and cut horseshoes for the rosettes. It's best to cut glass upside down, and cutting on each side minimizes chipping and also works slowly. The cutting edge can be smoothed from the side of the cutting edge on the blade. I bought a second blade to have as a spare for future work.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Something different

Not happy at the moment. May return.

I ordered a few days ago and received it today. I've been waiting for the delivery. In the description, they assured that they would cut off everything necessary and not break the edges of the work. He chips, and he chips a lot. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I'm in the middle of my badreno and I don't need this complication. So far I've tried using pottery upside down and right side up and yet it clipped the desired edge of the work. Tomorrow I'll take a closer look at this and see if I can get it working

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Low maintainability
