Too thick for many doors

These metal doorstops are strong and attractive, with rubberized handles on either side. 3mm (8"). The thinnest part (tip) is thicker than a standard rubber doorstop. Therefore you may need to resort to folded cardboard (or a rubber door wedge) for doors that slide close to the ground. I have purchased six for my newly renovated house and literally four of them are too thick to use.

The best door closer!

Seriously, that's not a scathing rating. This doorstop is really great. We have some really heavy solid doors in our office that tend to either squeeze the door closer or overpower it at some point in the day; which results in case of a ghost door. They are very heavy (compared to any other doorstops we have tried) and never slip. Although they are a little expensive, they are worth the money. They seem strong enough that we won't be replacing them that often. Works well on tile and carpet and…

Good weight and keeps doors open

We have a fairly light bedroom door that slams with all the force of Odin's beard when it does hitting the wind from our large bedroom window. After locking our dogs in our bedroom many times and nearly getting our ass kicked a few times, we thought this $7 item might be a good investment. With the quality construction and weight of this doorstop, I can confidently say it was worth it. On the right day we can get a strong gust in our room and the stopper keeps the door open on our carpet with…

Pros
  • Securely blocks doors up to 1.12" apart, 4.65" long
Cons
  • Easily creased

Wrong dimensions given

This is a good enough doorstop but the dimensions of the product in the description are wrong. It's not 1.6 x 3.3 x 5.6 inches as stated in the product information. It's more like 1.13 x 1.5 x 4.75 inches. I thought maybe the measurements given are for the package but it is much larger so I don't know where these numbers came from. Unfortunately, all of the doors I want to keep open have a 1.25 inch gap including them, making this doorstop pretty much useless to me. It's actually shorter than…
