Attached to an angle grinder with a chuck adapter, this drill bit speeds up the process significantly compared to a standard drill bit. I only made 2000 dowels in about 24 logs and this attachment on my angle grinder has saved me over a few hours of log drilling time.
later so drilling many holes is as easy as it is time consuming. I saw a video of someone using one of these on an angle grinder so I bought a drill chuck to go with my Craftsman cordless angle grinder. With a shoulder to get depth and a high-speed angle grinder, determining the next hole location takes longer than anything else.
