Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good one.

I watched a video clip on YouTube from the velo-country channel and they said that Shimano chains have a direction and in order to put the chain correctly, you need to put it with the marking out, where all sorts of letters and numbers are written. I was surprised when I discovered that on this price they are on both sides and this puzzled me) now I don’t know if I put it correctly or not.

Pros
  • I don’t understand yet why it is cooler than other chains, maybe I’ll understand later)
Cons
  • I would like to have a lock in the kit, and not a one-time pin.

My Transition to Chain in Chains

Chains wear out and stretch so gradually that it's hardly noticeable that this is happening. But over time you realize it. A little more noise from the gearbox. A creak here, a click there. Gears slip or slip from time to time, but you brush it off. You might think the noise is being caused by something else. Pedal? Is the sprocket bolt loose? Maybe it's a seat? Excellent - tight, precise shifting is back

After several thousand miles of OEM chaining on my Urban Warrior converted Giant Trance, shifting became sloppy and almost random. I blamed pretty much every other component of the drive train for the time being, then I noticed a lot of idler play and a lot of side chain flex. I replaced the chain and then quickly realized that the old chain had worn the cassette and front ring so badly that they had to be swapped out to match the new chain. Eventually, it became painfully obvious that the…

Not for aggressive riders

The XT, HG CN-93 chain that came with my new mountain bike broke four times in a few months, the first breaking bending the rear derailleur lever. With additional breaks, the chain makes a little noise at first, then falls off when I was happily limping backwards, just a short walk from my house. Some time after the first glitch and before the second, I decided it was due to improper installation by the factory bike mechanic. I replaced the bent link and a few others on the side of the bend…
