Great mod. I installed this on my Trek Marlin.

Great mod I installed this on my Trek Marlin 7 which has fairly tall water bottle mounts. Every time I took the bottle out I hit the brake cables. This mod shifts the cell down so far that it is now perfect.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Some problems

I have one for my touring bike. No nothing .

I bought this for my touring bike. It doesn't have anything electronic (other than the GPS) but it allows me to fit a 24oz bottle in the side loading cage AND use a Revelate Designs Tangle bag. 18 inch fat bike.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Thoughtlessness

Worked great for a year

Worked great for a year. I use this to store my Tiger Lock. I noticed that it rattles and dangles. I decided it just needed a little tightening and was taking it apart to tighten the screws when I found the thin parts had snapped in half. It was the metal part. I'll look around for something more durable.

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • Not everything fits

For lowering a water bottle

I currently have a Giant Trance 27.5 full suspension bike in the middle version and the bottle cage holes on the frame are too high. I used it to lower the attachment point and now my full size water bottle fits in the frame. solved my problem Can be used to raise or lower water bottle holders. Pros: Made from high quality materials. Looks like a factory install. Fixed an issue that caused cage mounts to be in the wrong place. Cons: Expensive.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

fixes my problem on water bottle cage

I wish I didn't need something like this but the location of the water bottle cages on my frame interfered with the location of the battery for the Ultegra Di2 system. I have a 54cm Breezer Venturi and can still hold 24oz. bottles easily. The only complaint is with the included hardware, the Shimano bolts require ridiculously small Allen keys. I used the standard water bottle books I already had and they worked great.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Disappear

solves problems, weak components

As others have said, this works great. I have a small S Works Roubaix. With Di2 battery. The placement in the cage is not suitable for a decent sized can (not to mention my big butt). This solves the problem by allowing me to move the cage DOWN (the instructions say it should move up. Just put it upside down). I also agree with beef about lousy ingredients. This is my second unit. The first fell apart after 3 years/18,000 miles.

Pros

Cons
  • I'll be silent

Worked for a completely different reason.

The bottle cage mounting bolts were positioned about an inch higher on my bike frame to accommodate a large bottle. I've searched the net for a solution that allows you to move the holes to mount the screws and lower them onto the frame to allow the large bottle to fit in the cage. I could imagine what I needed but couldn't find it until I saw this bottle cage adapter. They say to move the bottle cage UP to accommodate the battery, but I just installed it the wrong way round (I don't have a…

Pros
  • Test results unchanged
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
