Tiny but awesome! fits Zimmermannswinkel

Despite reading the description it is smaller than I thought. Ideal for checking squareness when setting up a tool. High quality workmanship, nice little tool.

Pros
  • Fits great for me
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Accurate, good value for money.

Exactly but the discontinuity of the brass causes the measurements to not be square, see picture of the detail of the brass where it joins the stainless steel blade.

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Accurate, good value for money.

Precise but discontinuity in the brass results in non-rectangular dimensions, see illustration of brass detail at the junction with the stainless steel blade.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long lead time

Oh yeah. in the joinery

I love Shinwa tools. That's a good stretch. bursting with quality, etc. You know that feeling when something feels good in your hand, looks great and you can think of reasons to just use it? This one. It was a few dollars cheaper than usual so I bought it. Then more. Then more. Ha!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Precise and aesthetic

I bought it because of the soft brass square to avoid scratching work surfaces and also because I love brass. This is my Cadillac (or Lexus since it's Japanese) from Engineering Squares and I'm keeping it for home use. It's precise and strong. I will buy more products from this brand in the future.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Small things
