The smaller hole is useless for the GoldWing

I liked the thick thickness of this tool and it grips the OEM GoldWing oil filter really well, but the smaller hole at the end of the handle is useless for the 14mm GoldWing -drain hole. plug/nut! The hole is too big, forcing me to rip out my own 14mm ratchet wrench!

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • Clarity

good oil wrench for tools and equipment

The wrench helped remove the oil filter from my Honda VTX (not an easy task) but I had to hit it a few times with a hammer to break the seal . Unfortunately the metal is a bit soft and has started to wear and spur. The lesson to be learned is that a wrench works fine, just don't hit it with a hammer.

Pros
  • Hands free work
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Must buy for DIY oil change

Also, it has a built-in 17mm drain plug opener. You can take out a stubborn air filter without brute force. In my experience, if this thing can't figure it out, only a bike shop can. Because you didn't use brute force, the old filter is still intact and functional, and you can bike to the shop instead of towing a broken filter.

Pros
  • good thing

  • negative impression

Mount Honda Pilot and its oil filter

The Honda Pilot has an oil filter above the body frame. This makes it impossible to use a torque wrench that covers the oil filter to grip the oil filter. So the problem is solved, finally there is a key that fits the Honda Pilot. Tried on a new oil filter, fits very well. Don't film. Can't wait to try it on my next oil change.

The best oil change tool!

Just changed the oil in my new 2007 Goldwing for the first time. It was the PERFECT tool. Firstly, there is no need to remove the front pad as the manual recommends, this button fits there with a margin. I used the 17mm end to loosen and remove the drain plug. Then the end of the filter to easily remove the oil filter. So happy I found and bought this one!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Great idea, poor execution

I used to have one of these keys and really liked it, but lost track of it during the spring cleaning so I bought another one from Revain. The price was great and it looked just like what I had. The filter side worked fine, but the 17mm side ripped off the drain plug and I had to use a regular 17mm wrench to finish the job. The key teeth are now rounded. Maybe I just received a broken key.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Outdated

NOT fits 2018 Goldwing+

Well made key, clean lines. It just doesn't match the 2018 Goldwing. The Honda molding around the filter keeps the wrench from getting to the filter. So cut off the key, then there is no more room to turn between the exhaust and shift shaft. So you bend the handle. still not working well. The wrench for the drain plug is 17mm and 2018 is 12mm. I should have researched more. Hope this helps someone else.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

I finally got the stuck filter out of my Honda 919

When I got my new used bike I took it to a thief to inspect and remove a few service related parts including the oil. and filter change. But when they changed the filter, they didn't lubricate the gasket on the filter (and tightened it like crazy). idiots. So I couldn't remove that damn filter and didn't change it in 2 oil changes. I know, I know. In my defence, I don't drive too many miles and I've read that you don't have to change the filter with every oil change. But I know. it sounds…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
