Cheap and easy repair.

The old diaphragm had a 1/2 inch gap. You could hear the vacuum leak as soon as you opened the gas cap access door. It was easy to fix and it was like new. Now I can reach 70 km/h again.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • Something else

Fits 1991 Goldwing

Perfect fit for my 1991 GL1500. It was a simple conversion of the Goldwing vacuum crane. Simply rearrange any parts you remove and reinstall in reverse order. Pretty light and doesn't leak.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Minor issues

Product OK / Instructions OK

The product works great in my 98 Goldwing. When assembling it, however, I had to show a little imagination. Unfortunately the official service manual I have is no better. After one failed attempt I put everything back together correctly and it works great. It seems to have saved me over $100 over replacing the entire auto fuel valve.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Empty

Worked great and easy to install.

I recently bought an '88 Honda Goldwing GL1500 as a small project. One issue the bike had was gas buildup in the spill pan after running for a while. Everything pointed to a leaking faucet, so I bought a set. Removing the faucet from the bike took some time (didn't want to remove all the fairing/plastic parts). After removing the part, it only took 6 minutes to swap out and reassemble all the internal parts. I put the faucet back on the bike and it no longer drips.

Pros
  • beautiful thing
Cons
  • fading

The rubber membrane is bent because it was folded before it was put in the box. I didn't think there would be a problem after installing it. I rebuilt the automatic fuel valve, reinstalled it and the bike started. Couldn't start a 1997 gl1500 SE in a week, spent a lot of time troubleshooting. Finally I removed the automatic fuel valve but there was no gauge, I almost ordered it then I thought. DUH, just do a simple test. So here's a test, put a little hose on a little nipple, see if you can…

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Some problems
