Description of 🔪 6 Inch Serrated Utility Knife - Shun Classic, High-Performance Cutlery

The perfect kitchen knife to handle foods with tough peels and skins but soft interiors; ideal for tomatoes, avocados, as well as for tougher foods like hard cheeses, sausages with casing, and more. Between a chef’s and a paring knife in size, the Shun Serrated Utility has a straighter, narrower blade with small serrations that let it glide through a variety of tougher foods with ease. The handle is D-shaped for a comfortable grip and made of ebony PakkaWood, a genuine hardwood infused with resin, producing a water-resistant and durable material that is easy to clean and maintain. The blade’s cutting core is made of VG-MAX steel, a formula exclusive to Shun and a re-engineered version of the VG10 formula for additional strength, sharpness, durability and corrosion resistance. A sharp serrated blade is always handy to have around; give the gift of the Classic 6-inch Serrated Utility Knife to friends, newlyweds, grandparents, cooks, entertainers or aspiring chefs.

Incredibly hot: Kitchen & Dining

This knife is amazing. It's very sharp and balanced. I love using it. Of course I had it for a few days, but I can always revise my review if I don't like it in the future.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.

Great knife! suitable for special knives

easy to understand for everyone. I bought it for my eldest daughter, who I love unconditionally, the mother of my wonderful granddaughters, and kept it for myself. If you have grandchildren, you understand.

Pros
  • impressive
Cons
  • unreliable

This knife is awesome! I bought one of these for my mother.

This knife is amazing! I bought one of these for me and my mum 10 months ago and it has become our go-to knife for most needs. It cuts vegetables perfectly and I don't have to worry about sharpening it. I immediately ordered another one for the holiday home.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Dear

Excellent knife. I have a Wustof classic that I use.

Excellent knife. I have classic Wustof knives that I use for chopping etc. They are great welfare gauges. But for cutting these are my favorites. They are well made, well balanced and feel good in the hand. With proper use and care, they will last for many years. I have a Shun Sa Tiki that is 12 years old and remains razor sharp - it has seen many years of use. I would never hack with my shins (use thicker Wustof blades).

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Great knife for specialty knives

If you cook a lot, you know your knives. This cute little utility knife from Shun is a dream come true. It looks great, feels good in the hand (both my large hands and my wife's small ones) and cuts with precision. The tines are very small, but they easily go through things like tomatoes. No matter how thin you want to cut it, it will work. It won't replace a good chef's knife for big jobs or a small paring knife for smaller jobs, but it's a real treat in the kitchen.

Pros
  • Handsome
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Better than 5 stars!

Update 09/10/07: Please check the Shun Classic U2 (Ultimate Utility) knife before you buy this knife separately. You may like it more. I believe if you are serious about cooking you should have great utensils and great knives. I finally got up and got some great knives. For those who haven't heard the hype, Shun is one of the most respected knife brands in the world. Check them out online at kershawknives.com. One of the standout features across the line is those cool D-grips that fit your hand

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Problems
