SHURFLO 244 3926 Elbow Adapter Review

Standard to fit the intake side of the intake side of my Sureflo RV. Winter-Friendly Frost Protection Preparing water pipes for winter.

Perfect connection for priming the fresh water pump. Added about 3ft of Tigon tubing to go to the RV antifreeze bottle and I was able to pump the RV AF in line.

I had one of the 3 leaks I bought when it was installed in the exact same spot (hence matching fittings wasn't the issue). I don't quite understand how they are supposed to seal without a rubber washer like the PEX swivels.

Unfortunately, this type of assembly did not fit my application. As soon as the pressure built up the fitting started to leak and my hose came loose from the fitting even though it had a clamp. I had to switch from Shurflo to a direct mandrel. This is no blow to the company as I use their pump and battery in my system.

. And even better than the picture as the one received has wings in the form of a wing nut so it can be easily hand tightened. I use it attached to a short hose to pump an anthill into my winterized water pump. The exit from the trailer is that there is no space in it to install any of the 3-way valves commonly used for this purpose. Simply unscrew the suction line on the pump, screw on this elbow with a hose, pump in antifreeze, then replace the suction hose. Works like a champ.

I don't know if this item is a genuine Shurflo machine or a knock off as this information was not on the packaging. However, at first glance you can see how messy the white part of the nipple sits in the black threaded body. Okay, think to yourself, maybe this crap will go away after installing the fuel nozzle. Unfortunately, most of the dirt is gone, but not enough to make an airtight seal. As soon as the pump was turned on, the leaks started. I don't run a Shurflo pump but the inlet/outlet…
