Not up to the usual Sierra standard

I put it in as a replacement and it clogged right away. There might have been sludge in my tank but when I replaced it with a Yamaha filter there was no problem. I've used Sierra in the past with no problems. I would go with the Yamaha because of the price difference. In this case the Yamaha was cheaper but I wanted it in two days and there was a delay getting the OEM.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Crumpled

Got a bad filter right out of the box!

I must have a bad filter! After installing a new filter, assume it will work. The new filter has been squeezed shut! After hours of troubleshooting I figured it out! Unsatisfied!

Pros
  • Designed for use with Mercury 9 9 and 15 hp outboards. (4-stroke)
Cons
  • Does not fit all

"Lie to Me Once. " - Fuel Filter

Purchased and installed but no fuel is flowing through the filter. Having used Sierra successfully in the past, I decided it was an anomaly, so I ordered another one. Same result. Should have read the reviews. Fool me once, shame on Sierra; Fool me twice, shame on me. If they don't get it right, I'm done with Sierra.

Pros
  • Filter under the hood on outboards
Cons
  • Available in white only
