This is the same soap I used hiking 30 years ago. The only thing that has changed is the price. Very concentrated, pleasant smell, cleans body and dishes well, does not harm the environment.

This soap has almost no odor which is very difficult to find in soap. It is also highly concentrated and offers excellent weight and space savings when hiking or cycling.

This is the best I have ever bought. Works on everything. I use it when I travel somewhere. I use it as a bath gel, dishwashing shampoo and disposables, hand washing clothes and washing my hair. Stick with Campsuds and you will be a happy camper.

The soap in this bottle is normal. It's not as effective as regular dish soap at removing grease, but I think you should lower your standards for a biodegradable product. My big problem with this product is that the bottle leaks. I keep it in a metal pot in my backpack so it doesn't shrink in my pocket, just shakes a bit. I bought this for a long family vacation (not camping but that included a cruise) not realizing how often we would have access to the laundry. I recently walked the Camino de Santiago. I walked the Camino Francis which is about 500 miles long. I had to hand wash my own clothes and the dishes I wore, let alone my body. This soap foams well and was enough for all 5 weeks of hiking. Remember this is not Tide, your clothes don't smell fresh and machine washed but they are clean and as a long haul traveler I would recommend this. This stuff works great! Cleans everything very well and works very well at any water temperature. The fragrance is light and unobtrusive when washing clothes and body parts. Doesn't treat grease or oil well in cold water unless you use too much soap. With hot water and some of this soap, even plastic will be squeaky clean. Did a great job on everything we washed (bacon grease, hamburger grease, coffee, milk, butter, ketchup, egg yolks). It definitely needs more than a few drops to be effective.
