🚤 High-Quality Sierra 18-3454 Marine Water Pump Kit: Perfect for Johnson and Evinrude Outboard Motor Maintenance Review

Is that really a Sierra? Neither the packaging nor the details say this is Sierra, so it's doubtful who makes it. The parts appear to be in order and of good quality.

I suspect the design of the parts has changed a bit since 1991 (the year of my outboard) so I couldn't find any of the o-rings they have in the OEM parts list . I looked around and found that this o-ring is not needed for the new stack. I'm rating this 1 star because there was no notification of this change from the OEM specs, so I had to spend an hour or two examining it to make sure it was the right part for the job.

Probably a very good kit. I have asked several marine mechanics about this and all have given high praise to the Sierra products and have consistently used these water pump kits. However, I pulled an OEM Johnson/Evinrude impeller out of my 50hp Johnson that had 1000 hours (about 8 or 9 years) in it and it still worked perfectly. The impeller itself was very powerful with a seemingly solid bronze core. The Sierra Kit used a composite core that was significantly lighter. This probably wouldn't be
