Ideal for photographing butterflies

Using this large, heavy 135mm f/1.8 prime lens with a 90D crop sensor (@ 218mm effective focal length). Amazing clarity. Excellent build. Insanely shallow depth of field when you open it up. Ideal for photographing butterflies at f2.8 to f4. Definitely not an all round or versatile lens but if you have a dedicated application like environmental portraits and have enough room to work this lens is great!

Nice upgrade Canon L

I've been shooting weddings with it for about two months. It replaced my Canon 135L. First impressions were that it was much heavier and built like an animal. After about four weddings I am very impressed. It focuses much faster than the Canon and is very sharp. When receiving in the dark, I still have trouble autofocusing without the assist light, but it's a lot better than my old lens. I mostly shot at 2.8. Another great Sigma lens.

Another excellent Sigma lens. Quality, assembly and image. Everything is up. This is now my fourth lens in the Art series and I am very excited to add it to my collection. Everything in the purchase suits, a very necessary product.

I have been using the lens for almost a year. Camera Canon 5DM4. I know two lenses that today are absolute champions in terms of image quality and resolution for cameras of the Canon system, these are EF 35L II and 135 ART. Yes, there are, of course, otuses, but that's another story and completely different prices. The size of the lens and the weight distribution of the optical elements are very well done. Personally, I didn't get too tired. And most importantly - it is smaller than Sigma 85…
