Available PCIE X1 adapter for NVME m2. 2280 SSD upgrade

I used it to temporarily upgrade a 500GB Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVME M.2 SSD on a Dell Inspiron 3670 desktop for Windows 10 OS migration C: Drive from SSD 128 GB to host on his new home. Easy installation, flawless performance. The new SSD was then installed on the motherboard, and that card was put back in the box for the next time I needed it. Even if I'll never need it again, the smooth migration was worth it.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • No instructions

Worked great on my HP Z420 Workstation

I bought this adapter to install a Samsung 970 NVME on my HP 420 Workstation and it worked fine straight away. Win 10 booted on the 970 NVME with no problems, but since the latest Z420 BIOS doesn't recognize NVME as a boot drive, it can't boot from it. Come on, the adapter was still working fine.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Anything I can add

works but not as expected

It doesn't offer the same speed as having an NVMe slot on the motherboard. I got about 500 read/write speeds instead of the 1500 I was hoping for.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Functionality

Seems to work well

This adapter works quite well on its own. Transfer speeds with a 1TB NVMe SSD appear to be as fast as two plugged into MOBO's dedicated NVMe slots. I recommend this adapter as well as NVMe.TBolt SSDs

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Love it Network cards

I have this for my HP Z420 workstation but unfortunately you cannot boot from m.2 on this machine. Z440 you can, but it's still used for paging files and other teml files.

Pros
  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • Repair

Works as it should. Best in Internals

Works very well. This allowed me to add an m.2 SSD to my computer and move the HDD to secondary storage. It has the option to choose from several m.2 sizes and it fits the computer well. Added a little life and made a cheap computer run faster.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • There are nuances

Does exactly what it needs to do

I have a small form factor PC that I needed to fit an NVMe drive in and keep a full size 7200rpm data drive. The 16x PCI-e slot is used by the low-profile graphics card and only 1x PCI-e slot is left. Since the 1x slots aren't the faster version I lost a tremendous amount of performance from the HDD but it still averages around 300400MB read/write so it's still fast but not the 1 or 2GB per second she used would be in a full 16x slot. This isn't a fault of the adapter, it's something you REALLY

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • No form needed

Obvious error but they don't want to fix it

Almost all manufacturers supply this type of PCI card with a heatsink, the reason is very simple, SSD will generate a lot of heat and if it is not properly dissipated , it will damage the SSD or shorten its lifespan. I told the seller he doesn't care.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Vulgarity
