Very tight USB ports

The ports on this USB hub are incredibly tight. I had to press a little harder than I'm used to to get a Bluetooth receiver or USB drive into the slots. But it actually took pliers to pull it out. My headset receiver broke trying to remove it from this hub. There are too many USB hub options to recommend something as difficult to work with as this device. I will replace it with an alternative product.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Modern

It could be better for networking products

Just received it so can't say how long it will last but seems well made and working. I gave it three stars because: 1. The USB pigtail is only about 6 inches long and 2. There is no indicator light to show if it's receiving power. I almost returned it for that reason. I knew there were no LEDs for each port, but I assumed there would at least be a power indicator.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Solidly built and reliable.

I use it on the end of an extension cord to power my Samsung Odyssey Plus headset and provide local Bluetooth for the controllers as my computer is in a different room. It does its job perfectly and I don't get any wastage or dropouts.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Nothing here

The USB cable is a bit short.

Braided USB cable, that's nice. The problem is that it's a bit shorter. So I hooked it up to a USB extender which (I'm no tickie man) I'm not sure if that's a good thing but so far so good. Update 11/14/20: I'm still using this and it works fine; I'm used to short braided cables. It's high speed and power so it gets the job done; I have a Toshiba external hard drive connected to it and since it is powered I only have to use one of the USB ports for the Toshiba drive (without power the drive…

Pros
  • Great choice
Cons
  • For old
