🖊️ Pen Holder by Silhouette America: A Perfect Solution for Organizing and Displaying Your Pens Review

Great adapter for using markers, pens and even pencils in the Silhouette Cameo 3. The writing instruments fit the different nibs perfectly and have clear markings. You have to figure out what to use with each writing instrument. Makes manufacturing easier.

Pretty cool, too bad I don't have pictures. I bought this to use with our Cameo 3. We used fine tip markers. We made our own Christmas cards for friends and family. Didn't need much after that. There will be more projects. Think I'll buy cameo markers next. They will probably work better.

**Updated overview** They worked great at first. For use with glitter pens, markers and ballpoint pens. So much fun! However, the plastic thread that attaches the adapter to the bracket broke after just a few months of light use. I know it's just plastic. But I was hoping to enjoy them longer because they were fun.

This is the weirdest article. I finally figured out how to use it after checking several blogs. It also started cracking when I was trying to figure out how to use it. Poor instructions and I have very few markers that actually match the sizes that come with the kit. The silhouette should have better sized the markers that are likely to be in the scrapbooker's craft room, like the Fine Point Sharpies.

I also use them every day with my gel pens, love the glitter. I have the best success rate when I reduce the machine speed to 3, if I want a lot of glitter I do a second run with the same color. I haven't found a gel pen that doesn't fit. Much better than silhouette grips. I love playing with offset and inset, changing the color of the lines for coloring and keeping the red for clipping. I came up with a lot of great things.

When I found out that my silhouette portrait could address my wedding envelopes I had to get this tool so I could do it. The idea is good - there are 3 different grip sizes in 3 different sizes. However, after making just one envelope, I found that the pin in the mount was slightly misaligned, causing it to fail. I had to add a layer of tape around the handle to keep it from moving. I got my Cameo II a few weeks ago and I HAVE to try all the accessories! I really like this pen holder - I tested it with a white gel pen (Uni-Ball Signo Broad Point Gel Impact Pen White Ink, 3 pens per pack (imported from Japan)) and it worked great! Comes with different size connectors to adapt to different grips. (The Signo pen used a medium/white adapter). The plastic case cracked after a few days of first use. I also had to look up a tutorial on how to use it on the blog because there were no (helpful) instructions. It was difficult for me to adjust each pen to the correct size; I used the large size for a slightly thicker/above average grip and it barely fit. I bought this a few weeks ago and I love it. I've tested it with fine markers, standard ballpoint pens, Pilot G2 pens (they have a rubber grip) and even a standard sharpie. The holder comes with three different cartridges, for lack of a better word: small, medium and large. You place the pen in an appropriately sized chuck, insert the pen into the holder until it touches the cap on the other end, and then screw it in.
