I had my doubts after reading some of the other reviews but I could NOT be happier with it. I think the key is to take very well lit photos. Although I didn't calibrate mine, it made no difference. I still get cuts exactly where I want them and I even managed to take the mat out, found that it wasn't cut completely because one piece of cardboard was thicker than the others, and it had no double lines pierced again! I'm in love.

Cool! I like how Pixcan works. This works great for its intended purpose (cutting out existing objects). Now that I have it, I use it as my main cutting mat. Why? Because I can put my media right in the box and know _exactly_ where my design ends up. It's great because I don't waste any material. The downside is the glue. Be very careful with this! There are no instructions with the kit so I had to check everything (calibration etc.) myself. I bought this mat hoping to expand my canvas as printing registration marks really limits your workspace. Unfortunately the pixscan is not as accurate as I had hoped. It deviates by 23 mm, especially towards the very end of the mat. Maybe it's because my rug arrived bent. I have since printed my registration marks again as they are even more accurate.
