Controller reports 64GB, actual usable space 0GB

Device inserted once, formatted to ext4. A file copied, immediately deteriorated. Checked with f3 (see attachment), no usable memory.

There is no talk of declared speeds.

Tried several testers and all the same. There is no question of any speed requirements. And the card disappears and you have to restart or remove the phone several times a day.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Clarity

The formatted capacity is smaller than other SD cards.

I bought this to burn an image of my RetroPie so I have a backup. The original is on a 128GB Sandisk SD card. I took an image of the original and was even able to shrink it by about 1GB. I still wouldn't fit on that SD card. the Sandisk card format is almost 1.5 GB larger. None of the 128GB cards actually format to 128GB. This formats up to just over 117 GB. If that's not a problem for you, this card might be fine. I have to send it back as I don't need it. I had to spend an extra dollar to get

Missing 7,234,781,184 bytes

My card was advertised as 256GB which should be 256,000,000,000 bytes of storage. However, the card I received only has a capacity of 248,765,218,816 bytes. Update: I contacted Silicon Power to let them know they sent me a unit with insufficient capacity. I received general answers to irrelevant questions. Then they completely ignored me. After repeated attempts to contact them, I finally received a thoughtful reply: Silicon Power is concerned that I received a counterfeit product and asked for

Works well but is

I have seen many people report that this Micro SD is not reporting the correct dimensions and I had the same problem. However, I tried the micro SD card in my phone and found that after backing up, it is actually 128GB, 115.64GB. I then tried several other adapters for my PC and found that the adapter was the culprit and not the card itself. I tried this with a Sandisk SD card and got the same errors until I put it in my working adapter or my put the phone in. The speed is decent, although keep
