I received this to replace an old WD external drive that has failed. Rugged IPX7 case for $25, reasonable prices for both. I use it as an offline backup of my online backup from my Google Drive (there are always redundant backups of important data), so speed isn't as important as reliability. I always take photos and videos with my cell phone and tablet. They stick together and are difficult to manage until I get home and transfer them to my computer. Very happy with this external HD. I have a MacBook Pro with a 256GB hard drive and I've been running out of disk space for some of the lectures I'm recording lately.
