Extremely Thin Silicone

This mold is working well so far, but the silicone over the bird's head is so thin I'm afraid it will break at any moment, especially when demoulding. It must be at least 1 cm thick so that it does not tear during the first few uses.

Pros
  • Molds
Cons
  • Expensive

Charming bird!

I bought this soap mold to use with resin. So far I have made 3 birds. The only problem with mold is that this particular bird's tail wasn't finished. I did my best to make sure the entire cock was filled (including the layers of resin). It turns out to be quite sharp and needs to be sanded so as not to scratch itself. The black and red bird was the best I could do with the tail. That issue aside, I really like the form and plan to keep using it!

Pros
  • Soap making
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
