I have an InstantPot Ultra and when I first released it the steam blew my atomic clock in the kitchen. I have this to keep the steam out of my closets and shift clocks. The first time I used it, I installed it on the vent and turned on the pot to pressure cook. Due to the extra weight, the vent leaked, which surprised me. Now I cook as usual, and when I'm ready to deflate, I (gently) turn on that vent and then hit the vent button. Works great every time, glad I got it. highlighted.

Very easy to use. It just slides right over the release. It takes a little patience to take it off, but I think that's because it fits snugly onto the trigger and doesn't come loose. It definitely blew steam out of my closets. Easy to twist to direct the vapor where you need it. Very easy to clean, I mean it doesn't really get dirty as only steam gets through but just a quick rinse, some soap and it's ok. Small enough to store in a drawer. I love it. Definitely recommend.

I have an Instant Pot Duo Plus v3 and the relief valve is not used to select 'sealed' or 'vented', there is a separate switch for that. This fits snugly on the vent but is quite heavy on top and this vent is designed to be loose so it doesn't fit well and when I put it on as directed in the beginning it releases steam and prevents the pan from cracking finished crimping.
